Getting Started

TensorPM is an offline-first desktop app for context-driven project management, built on the CDPM framework.

You can use TensorPM in four ways:

  • Without AI (local-only)
  • With your own AI API key (Bring Your Own Key)
  • With a Cloud account (Cloud Sync + shared workspaces)
  • With a Pro account (Cloud + included AI requests)

Install & first launch

System requirements

  1. Operating system: Windows 10, macOS 11.0, or Linux (Ubuntu 20.04+)
  • Memory: 4 GB minimum, 8 GB recommended
  • Storage: ~500 MB free space
  • Internet: required for cloud sync and online AI providers

Install

  • Download the installer for your OS.
  • Run the installer and start TensorPM.
  • On first start, decide whether you want to use AI now or later.

AI setup (optional)

If you want AI features, configure them in Settings:

  • Open Settings.
  • Go to the AI tab.
  • Choose a provider and add your API key (or log in / upgrade, depending on your plan).

You can also disable AI entirely and keep everything local.

Create your first project

On the start screen you can create a new project or open an existing one.

  • Click Create Project.
  • Choose a creation mode (Wizard, From Prompt, or From Document).
  • If you choose Wizard, you go through the guided 11-step project setup.
  • If you choose From Prompt or From Document, you can still use the wizard later to validate and complete the context.
  • After creation, use the sidebar to switch between Context, Action Items, Guidance, Timeline, and more.

First-day checklist

  • Create 5–10 Action Items and assign priorities.
  • Open Guidance and run a Check / Strategize to spot gaps.
