Troubleshooting

Use this page for concrete recovery paths based on actual UI states.

AI is unavailable or model list is empty

If the model selector shows AI and No models available:

  • Open Settings -> AI.
  • Verify at least one provider path is configured (BYOK, logged-in TensorPM provider, or Local AI with model).
  • Reopen the AI panel and check model selector again.

Quick Actions are disabled

If Re-evaluate or Split is disabled:

  • Go to Actions -> List.
  • Switch Use to Edit.
  • Select one or more items.
  • Return to Quick Actions.

Guidance tabs are unavailable

This is usually quality gating, not a bug.

  • Run Context first.
  • Ensure sufficient context quality for Strategic and Coverage quick actions.
  • In the Guidance Execution view, ensure at least 2 Action Items before Plan.

Cloud sync problems

Check the sync indicator label and react accordingly:

  • Log in: authenticate in Settings -> User
  • Upgrade: Cloud/Pro or seat access required
  • No access: workspace membership/seat likely revoked
  • Keyring: secure storage unavailable on device
  • No network: offline state
  • Error: open sync details popover and retry paths

When issue badges appear, common issue categories include upload failures, download failures, conflicts, validation issues, auth errors, and network errors.

Local AI connection fails

  • Open Settings -> AI -> Local AI Server.
  • Confirm endpoint URL and model name.
  • Run Test Connection.
  • If detection fails, use custom endpoint manually.

Data or UI feels inconsistent

  • Create backup immediately.
  • Restart the app.
  • Open logs folder and export support bundle.
  • Report bug with reproduction steps.
