The Details That Matter

The Stale Context Problem

Most projects don't drift because someone forgot to create a task. They drift because the project picture decays. A client email moves a date, a meeting settles a decision, a supplier announces a delay. The real project changes, and the plan still shows last week.

No tool updates itself when the world changes, and most project tools are built to organize what someone has already entered. TensorPM starts one step earlier, where the information arrives.

Emails from your mailbox or Microsoft 365, uploaded minutes, quotes and revised plans become signals. The Distiller turns each signal into small, separate proposals: a milestone moves, a risk appears, a commitment becomes a decision. Each card shows what would change and where it came from, and you approve, adjust or reject it. Nothing from outside changes the project context without your confirmation, and every confirmed change is logged in the Trail.

From Assistance to Steering

AI in project tools has become genuinely useful: writing help, search, summaries and, increasingly, agents that act on tasks and workflows. These features make individual items and workflows better.

Steering a project needs a different input: the whole picture of goals, scope, schedule, budget, risks and decisions, and that picture has to be correct. TensorPM's Review project runs four analyses on the confirmed context: context gaps and contradictions, strategy fit, coverage of the goals, and execution on the critical path.

The results arrive as suggestions you can apply, discuss or dismiss, and as an order of work along the critical path. Every suggestion names what it is based on. It is decision support, not a decision maker.

Three Ways to Start a Project

Many tools start you with a template or an empty board, and you design the system before you manage the project. That works well when a team knows exactly the structure it wants.

TensorPM offers three guided paths: describe the project in plain language, upload existing documents such as briefs, quotes or kick-off minutes, or walk through the eleven fields of the guided wizard. The AI proposes goals, requirements, milestones, risks and a schedule.

Everything the AI produces is a proposal you review. You go from a first idea to a structured, reviewable project in minutes rather than days.

Privacy & Data Ownership

Most project tools are cloud services, and for many teams that is the right choice. Others work under strict data rules, in public projects or with sensitive commercial data.

TensorPM is local-first. Project data lives on your device, and local workspaces work without an account and without internet. Cloud Sync is optional, included on every plan, and end-to-end encrypted, so the sync servers in Germany see ciphertext only.

AI is a separate choice. Hosted TensorPM AI sends the relevant project context to model providers outside the EU; local models via Ollama, LM Studio or vLLM keep AI on your machine, and Business can route requests to your own provider keys.

From Context to Execution

Once the project picture is reliable, the project agent can take on concrete work: drafting emails, preparing calendar changes, and producing reports, spreadsheets and presentations as Word, Excel, PowerPoint or PDF files.

Anything that leaves the project needs its own approval. An email goes out only after you approve the exact draft, and calendar changes, external tools and executable skills are confirmed one by one.

Which Option Is Right for You?

Choose other tools if...

  • You need a company wiki or knowledge base alongside project management
  • Portfolio tracking, OKR cascading or workload planning across many teams is essential
  • You rely on deep third-party integrations (Slack, Salesforce, dev tools)
  • Your team works through task comments, chat and real-time co-editing
  • Your organization requires enterprise governance (SCIM, admin audit logs)
  • You need mobile apps for managing work on the go

Choose TensorPM if...

  • You steer a complex project and need goals, budget, risks and decisions in one confirmed picture
  • Keeping the project picture current across emails, minutes and documents is a constant struggle
  • You want budget, risks, critical path and procurement without building the system yourself
  • Privacy and data ownership matter: local-first, sync optional and end-to-end encrypted
  • You want to run AI on local models, or on Business with your own provider keys
  • You want pricing that never scales with headcount: members are free on every plan

Keep your project picture current.

Steer complex projects with context you can trust.
