Getting Started
TensorPM is an offline-first desktop app for context-driven project management, built on the CDPM framework.
You can use TensorPM in four ways:
- Without AI (local-only)
- With your own AI API key (Bring Your Own Key)
- With a Cloud account (Cloud Sync + shared workspaces)
- With a Pro account (Cloud + included AI requests)
Install & first launch
System requirements
- Operating system: Windows 10, macOS 11.0, or Linux (Ubuntu 20.04+)
- Memory: 4 GB minimum, 8 GB recommended
- Storage: ~500 MB free space
- Internet: required for cloud sync and online AI providers
Install
- Download the installer for your OS.
- Run the installer and start TensorPM.
- On first start, decide whether you want to use AI now or later.
AI setup (optional)
If you want AI features, configure them in Settings:
- Open Settings.
- Go to the AI tab.
- Choose a provider and add your API key (or log in / upgrade, depending on your plan).
You can also disable AI entirely and keep everything local.
Create your first project
On the start screen you can create a new project or open an existing one.
- Click Create Project.
- Choose a creation mode (Wizard, From Prompt, or From Document).
- If you choose Wizard, you go through the guided 11-step project setup.
- If you choose From Prompt or From Document, you can still use the wizard later to validate and complete the context.
- After creation, use the sidebar to switch between Context, Action Items, Guidance, Timeline, and more.
First-day checklist
- Run through the Project Creation Wizard (even if you started from a prompt/document).
- Create 5β10 Action Items and assign priorities.
- Open Guidance and run a Check / Strategize to spot gaps.
- Use the AI Panel & Quick Actions to create items, split items, and evaluate status.
